Why The 911 Kits are the Best

WHY MY MIRROR MAGNET SYSTEM IS BETTER & SAFER THAN BRP's AND OR ANY OTHER SYSTEM CURRENTLY AVAILEABLE

When changing from the oem BRP system to the magnet system , some important things need to be considered .... BRP designed theirs to be Strong enough for their CLIP system, if you exceed that amount of Force , the entire system needs to be strong enough Not to Break .....

My system accounts for this .... My magnets were custom made to my specs ... they weren't bought off the shelf because that was the only thing available..... If the magnets are very strong ( too strong ) the entire Mirror housing / case " may come apart " because when removing the Mirror you will need to hit it ( on the end ) quite hard to break the magnets loose .... also the posts that BRP put in ( to attach their spring clips ) are only strong enough for their system , again if the Magnets are too strong they can pull the posts out of the body of the Spyder ....

My magnets are strong enough to keep the Mirror in place, but not so strong that they damage anything inside... The Mirror only weighs 2 1/2 lbs ... so my magnets are strong enough to do the job , but not overly powerful , and damage the post inserts in the body .... I dropped my Spyder from 1 1/2 ft off the ground and the mirrors didn't move ... recently I hit a 3in. curb ( this caused my fenders to slap the tires ) at 25 mph and the mirrors didn't move ..... My safety Tether is very easy to use ( 300lb break strength ) and will prevent the Mirror from ever hitting the ground ...

BRP has no such provision to prevent this .... If you break a Mirror ( using the BRP system ) this isn't Warrantied , it will cost approx. $250.00 plus labor .....

I have noticed that some Dealer Tech's are not putting the Mirror on securely, after working on your Spyder , you can't tell by looking at it ... you drive down the road and hit a bump and the Mirror falls off , it  breaks and YOU pay to fix it ( no warranty ).... or they put it on wrong and damage the spring clips, you then have to buy New ones ....plus if any of the above happens and you take it to the dealer to repair it .... they are likely to tell you , they are very busy , so leave it for a couple of weeks and they will GET to it .... you can't ride your Spyder if it's " IN THE SHOP.....

I spent a lot of time & money on this system to get it " RIGHT ". I sell my system two ways - a 2 magnet per Mirror system and a 3 magnet one ...... through extensive testing , I found the 2 magnet system to work as well as the 3 magnets ..... I lose money if you buy the 2 magnet system , but I feel I have to totally Honest and recommend the 2 magnets .... Here's why -

BRP's upper clip that slides down onto it's post , works very, very well .... so why change it , ... " I don't " .... The reason people BREAK that plastic disk is because they Don't remove the Mirror the way BRP instructs it to be removed . My system is way less likely for this to happen because the amount of Force needed to remove the Mirror is much less. It's strong enough to do the job , but not so strong it causes things to break.... I have driven on bad wash-board roads at much higher speeds than is safe ( for testing purposes ) and my mirrors NEVER moved.

My magnets also prevent any looseness in the connection to the body, which prevents " blurring " of what you see in the Mirror...... My Mirror is actually a closer FIT to the body than even BRP's system..... The other Magnet system actually pushes the housing out 3/16th of an inch which looks bad ( to me anyway ) ....... Think about this information ... you won't regret it .... Thanks ...Mike .
